The bridge from which this panorama is taken (The Millenium Bridge) is the last footbridge before the river widens to become The Firth of Clyde. The bridge splits right at this spot to allow small ships to pass.
The Glasgow Science Centre, Imax Theatre and The Glasgow Tower are major tourist and family attractions. The Glasgow Tower, shaped aerodynamically, is supposedly the only structure in the world which revolves about its base, the pupose being to face into the wind to provide stability for the viewing platform at the top.
Also visible are the new BBC Scotland studios (from Bells Bridge), The SECC and the Moathouse Hotel.
