Nicknamed "The Squiggly Bridge" due to its cambered "s" shape, The Tradeston Bridge opened to pedestrians and cyclists on the 14th May 2009. It provides a convenient walking route from the city centre to the large number of new houses and flats on the south bank of the Clyde, and seemed to be an immeditaely popular route.
